Specialized Japanese knife designed for cutting herbs and vegetables. Thanks to the rectangular clint, you can quickly transfer sliced ingredients into a salad bowl or frying pan. An experienced cook uses a thin Nakiri knife to obtain decorative, translucent slices (catsura-muki method).

A simple cutting edge is used for the vertical cut and allows you to use many different techniques such as julienne or chiffon.

Satake Megumi Classic knives are an excellent introduction to the world of traditional Japanese knives. The robust blades are made of high carbon 420J2 stainless steel, which is extremely resistant to corrosion and easy to sharpen. The classic round handles made of natural wood are reinforced with a ring made of durable plastic, which effectively prevents the blade from slipping. The knives in this series are great as a first step on the path to learning the ins and outs of Japanese cooking.
